Global search & shortcuts ​

Retailer OS is built to keep your hands on the keyboard. There are two ways to get anywhere fast.

The search box in the top bar looks across your items, customers, orders, and vendors. Start typing a name, SKU, or order number and pick a result to jump straight to it.

Command palette ​

Press Cmd-K (macOS) or Ctrl-K (Windows) to open the Command palette. From here you can:

  • Jump to any screen ("Purchase orders", "AR aging report", "Payments settings").
  • Run quick actions ("New item", "New sale").
  • Search records the same way as global search.

The palette is the fastest way to move around once you know the app — no need to hunt through the sidebar.

The + Create menu ​

The + Create button in the top bar is a shortcut for the things you add most: Item, POS sale, Customer, Vendor, and Purchase order. It works from any screen.

TIP

Learning one shortcut? Make it Cmd/Ctrl-K. It replaces most of the clicking you'd otherwise do.
