Offline mode & sync
Retailer OS POS keeps working when your connection drops. You can keep ringing up sales, and everything syncs automatically once you're back online.
How it works
- When the connection is lost, POS switches to offline mode and shows an indicator.
- Sales you take are queued locally on the device with the prices and stock it last knew about.
- When the connection returns, queued sales sync automatically to your account, drawing down inventory and posting to reports.
The Sync screen
Open the Sync screen to see the status of anything still queued and to confirm everything has uploaded. Each offline sale keeps its own receipt, reachable even before it syncs.
Good to know
NOTE
Card payments still need a connection to authorise. Offline, take cash (or record another tender) and capture the card when you're back online, per your processor's rules.
WARNING
Because offline sales use the stock figures the device last had, selling the same unit offline on two registers can oversell. Sync devices as soon as you reconnect to reconcile stock.
